Head out on a captivating journey of Melbourne with acclaimed cityscape artist Arthur 'Ted' Powell, who will open your imagination to new ways of creatively understanding our streets, buildings and the urban landscape. Start by exploring Ted’s sketches of Melbourne’s history at Library at the Dock, before heading out into the city to draw the urban landscape of the future. Whether you’re an aspiring creative or are curious to put pen to paper, explore the city with an eye for the aesthetic and awe-inspiring.
Bring along a panorama or landscape sketchbook and some drawing materials. Additional workshops can be organised for school groups during library hours for a negotiated fee based on time, location and group numbers. Please touch base with Ted on firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.

Carbon neutral contribution
Melbourne Knowledge Week is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and will be certified carbon neutral for 2019.
This means we will measure the festival’s carbon emissions and implement actions to reduce them. Then we will purchase offsets on your behalf to cover the remaining emissions and achieve carbon neutrality.
Your contribution will go towards a range of offset projects including a reforestation project in NSW and a project which enables Aboriginal communities to reduce emissions through improved land management practices in the Kimberley.
