The Australian Drinks Festival is a unique event combining pop-up bars, cocktails and FREE sampling of premium beers, wines and spirits.
In addition, there’s great food and entertainment; brewers, distillers and winemakers are on hand to answer your questions; and some of the best bartenders in the country will mix up drinks for you. Plus an unrivaled line-up of guest speakers will bring the world of fine liquor to life with around 40 FREE demonstrations and seminars.
So come and discover your new favourite tipple, learn how to mix up a classic cocktail or unwind with a glass of wine with your friends.

Your ticket will be sent to you as a wristband prior to the festival. All attendees over 18 will be sent a wristband that includes their entry to the event and any pre-purchased Festival Currency. You will be able to purchase additional currency at the event.
Entry is free for Under 18's. Under 18's will not receive a wristband.
The Australian Drinks Festival is introducing Festival Currency for 2016 to ensure speed of service at the Bars, Food Outlets and Exhibitor Stalls. All food and drink purchases at The Australian Drinks Festival must be paid for using Festival Currency. No cash transactions are allowed.
At the venue, Festival Currency wristbands can be topped up at currency stands or by roaming currency sellers.
Can I use cash to pay for food and drinks if I haven’t purchased Festival Currency?
The Australian Drinks Festival is a ‘cashless’ festival. In other words, to buy food and drinks at the event you’ll need to use festival currency. However,remember that many of the products available at the event can still be sampled for free.
How Does Festival Currency Work?
You can buy festival currency at the event or in advance when you purchase tickets. The wristband you will receive contains a chip, which can be read by the Exhibitors scanner that deducts a set amount depending on what you purchase.
How much should I put on my Festival Currency Card?
The approximate Price Guide at the Australian Drinks Festival is:
- Glass of Wine - $5.00 - $10.00
- Glass of Beer, Cider or Spirits - $5.00 - $10.00
- Cocktail - $10.00 - $15.00
- Food - $5.00 - $20.00
How do I know how much is remaining on my wristband?
Visitors can simply ask an Exhibitor how much credit they have remaining and scan their wristband, or do the same at any Roaming Seller or Festival Currency Booth.
If I don’t spend all of my currency, can I obtain a refund for the leftover balance?
Absolutely! All refunds will be processed on premise only. Simply head over to a refund counter at the festival, scan your wristband and your outstanding credit will be immediately refunded to you.
